Christine Reid is the culinary force and creative spirit behind Friends of Friands. With over two decades of experience in hospitality, she’s known for crafting beautiful food that brings people together - it’s her raison d’être and the heart behind every friand you’ll taste.

Christine’s journey spans 20+ years in the food and beverage world, from designing menus to training teams, building businesses and delivering standout experiences. She’s led much-loved Adelaide cafés including Salted Café Bar Beans (2017–2023), Signature: A Fusion of Coffee (2011–2016 — Best Coffee Shop/Tea House in the CBD), and The Blue Lemon Big Baguette Bar (2004–2011).

Christine holds qualifications in Commercial Cookery, Marketing and Property Investment - but it’s her passion for people, food, and connection that truly defines her.

Family is at the heart of everything Christine creates, and that sense of warmth, care, and community is felt in every friand, every interaction and every detail of the Friends of Friands experience.
